Great turnout at new St Albans church hall’s Christmas Café

CHRISTMAS cheer was flowing in abundance on Saturday when a Fleetville church held its annual Christmas Café.

A good turnout from parishioners and nearby residents ensured that the café at St Paul’s Church in Hatfield Road, St Albans, was a great success, already having raised over £1,600 with more money coming in.

Most of the money raised from the event goes to charity. As well as food and drink, the café also had stalls selling home produce, books and crafts, all with a seasonal theme.

Co-organiser Heather McAnlis said: “It was lovely because we have a new church hall and visitors were able to spread out more.”
