THE most controversial coat in Britain has been seized by police from the Big Brother House in Herts.
The coat in question belongs to the surgically enhanced 80s pop sensation Pete Burns who claimed that his fur coat, which was a gift from his boyfriend, was made from gorilla skins.
Following complaints from members of the public the coat was taken from the Elstree house near St Albans today and handed over to Herts Police who said that they would be testing it to determine its origin.
Under the Control of Trade in Endangered Species legislation it is illegal to trade in certain types of fur.
