A 13-year-old girl was walking home when she was harassed by two men who were driving past her.

The girl was in Harpenden Road at around 5pm on Wednesday, April 18, when two men verbally abused her from a white Ford Fiesta.

The men are described as Asian and in their 20s. One of the men was wearing a white t-shirt and had black hair.

Two other males were also in the car at the time.

Police are investigating and anyone with information should contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference F1/18/1815.

A similar incident occurred the next day, when a man driving in Whitecroft, St Albans asked an 11-year-old girl to get into his van.

Police patrols are being increased in both areas, and police have advised teenagers to report any inappropriate behaviour from strangers to the police straight away.

When walking to school, it is best to walk in groups and along busy routes, and teenagers are advised not to have the volume of their headphones up too loud so they can hear what is happening around them.
