Three generations of the Cottle family come together at the circus on Harpenden Common this week.

Gerry Cottle’s Circus has returned to the town for the first time in two decades and features 50 acts in 100 minutes to celebrate its half a century on the road.

For the first time three generations of the Cottle family will be appearing together in a show which takes in acts from around the globe.

They include rock’n’roll roller skates, daredevils, illusionists, acrobats and jugglers.
