The bookmakers have given their odds on who is likely to become the next MP for St Albans.
As of Monday, Paddy Power have given the Conservatives 1/3 odds to win. Their candidate, Anne Main, has won the last three elections in the constituency.
But if you want to put your money on the Liberal Democrats’ Daisy Cooper, Paddy Power will offer you odds of 7/4.
Labour, being represented by Kerry Pollard in this election, are on 40/1.
UKIP, who are not running in this election, are on 100/1.
And the Green Party, who have selected Jack Easton as their candidate, are on 500/1.
Paddy Power say the odds are calculated by taking into account various factors, such as incumbency, historical trends, recent pledges, and any relevant momentum or switches of support.
An ongoing Herts Advertiser poll has put the Liberal Democrats first with around 50 per cent, and the Conservatives third with around 20 per cent of the 5,000 readers’ votes.
