A petrol lawnmower and hedge trimmer were stolen from a locked shed in St Albans after thieves forced it open.

Herts Police are appealing for information following the theft of the gardening equipment from the garden in Green Lane between 6.30am and 2pm on Tuesday, May 5.

The lawnmower was a yellow and black Challenge Extreme model and the hedge trimmer, which had a visible petrol tank, was a Spear and Jackson model.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Herts Police on non-emergency number 101 or alternatively Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
