Charity fundraiser Anne Swanston who has raised more then £125,000 for Crohn’s and Colitis UK has formally opened one of its new meeting rooms in the city.
Anne has been fundraising for Crohn’s and Colitis for 12 years in memory of her late husband Ian, who died as a result of ucerative colitis and ankylosing spondylitis.
She has been arranging an annual golf day every year since 2003 and has hosted an annual ball at Sopwell House since 2007.
The charity has dedicated one of the meeting rooms at its offices in Grosvenor Road, St Albans, to Ian to celebrate Anne’s hard work.
Crohn’s and Colitis UK has more than 30,000 members and provides a support to patients and their families as well as offers partnership with health professionals.
