A CAR hit a rock leaving fuel gushing out over the road last week.
The incident involving a black Ford Fiesta happened at around 2am on Friday morning along Mile House Lane, St Albans.
The woman driving was uninjured but the car's fuel tank split and a large amount of petrol spilled out onto the road.
Police were called to the scene along with Herts Highways, which cleared up the spillage and laid down a thick layer of salt.
