Six fridges have been dumped at the side of a farm lane in St Albans.
St Albans council was alerted to the fridges, which had been dumped in the middle of the road in Nashes Farm Lane, on Wednesday, September 5.
As they were obstructing the road, the fridges were initially the responsibility of the highways agency, but a member of the public moved them to one side and cleared the obstruction, therefore placing them under the council’s jurisdiction.
The fridges were removed by the highways agency by the time the council’s contractors arrived, and there will be an investigation to find out who is responsible.
