THE London Colney bypass (A1081) has been closed by police this morning (Wednesday) following a serious collision, involving four articulated lorries.
The crash happened at around 6am and the road is expected to remain closed for at least another five hours, whilst emergency services deal with the incident.
Motorists are being urged to avoid getting off at junction 22 of the M25 and, where possible, exit at junction 21A instead.
Any witnesses to the collision are urged to contact Herts Police via the non-emergency number 101.
