Piles of rubble are all that remain at the site of the former Eversheds print works and offices in St Albans after five buildings have been torn down to make way for a major housing scheme.
Excavators have been on the derelict site at the junction of Alma Road and London Road for several months working to clear the area so building work to create 80 new homes can begin.
A spokesman for Collinson Walker, who is overseeing the London Road Project, said the next phase is to complete a site survey and finalise the design of the development.
