A former Harpenden primary teacher has been remanded in custody on charges relating to the possession of indecent images of children.
Ben Lewis, 25, who lives in Lullington Garth, Borehamwood, taught at St Dominic’s School in Southdown Road, Harpenden, for two years before working full time with LL Camps, a children’s American style summer camp in Bushey which he had set up before he graduated and of which he is a director.
He has been charged with three offences in connection with indecent images of children and was remanded in custody last Friday, August 14. He is due to appear again at St Albans Crown Court next Wednesday, August 26.
LL Camps has had its registration suspended by Ofsted and anyone with concerns about their child’s welfare is advised to contact Herts county council on 0300 123 4043 and ask to make a referral to children’s services.
