A haul of 20 football kits were stolen from a car in St Albans last weekend.

The black and blue kits, branded with the name Chequers FC and worth around £1,500, were taken from a black Audi A5 parked in Goldsmith Way between 7.30pm on Saturday and 8am Sunday.

PCSO Adriano Russo said: “Because the kits have been branded they would be quite hard to sell on. If you have been offered them for sale or perhaps found anything discarded anywhere, please make contact.”

Anyone who has any information should please call the Herts Police non-emergency number 101.
