Environmental health officers are investigating three complaints relating to allegations of food poisoning at a city centre restaurant.
Diners at Freddie’s in Adelaide Street, St Albans, have made three separate complaints to the district council’s environmental health department after eating at the restaurant last Friday lunchtime.
A member of a party of 10 who dined there on Friday lunchtime but did not wish to be named said one of their number had been hospitalised after the meal.
Those who had eaten the Christmas lunch had also been ill as had members of their group who had eaten other meals. She described the food as cold and served only at room temperature.
No-one at Freddie’s was available for comment.
