Five people were arrested on suspicion of stealing from cars in St Albans.

Five people were arrested on suspicion of stealing from cars in St Albans.

Police were called in St Albans to reports of people breaking into vehicles overnight.

The police were called to Lemsford Road at 2.15am on Thursday, May 18 to investigate reports of suspicious behaviour.

A 17-year-old girl, a 19-year-old man, a 16-year-old girl and two 16-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of theft from a vehicle.

They remain in police custody.
