RAIL passengers from St Albans, Harpenden and Radlett face a second day of disruption after a landslip yesterday which is affecting all First Capital Connect (FCC) services on the Brighton mainline.
A burst water pipe in the South Croydon area caused flooding which led to restrictions all along the Thameslink route from Luton to Brighton..
A half hourly service is currently in place on Thameslink to allow Network Rail to undertake further maintenance to the affected lines in the South Croydon area.
The emergency timetable is expected to be in operation for the remainder of today and FCC has issued a warning to passengers travelling to Gatwick to pick up flights to make alternative arrangements if they can.
