RAIL passengers travelling with First Capital Connect (FCC) this evening have been warned to expect delays on the Thameslink route because of signalling problems between Radlett and St Albans City.
This has resulted in trains having to run at a reduced speed on one of the northbound lines, and trips are being delayed by up to 10 minutes at short notice.
A spokesman for FCC said that the problem started at about 3.30pm today (Tuesday), and a resumption of normal services would be provided once the problem had been assessed and fixed.
He explained: “The train drivers are having to be ‘spoken past’ these stations for safety reasons so they can proceed, which causes delays.”
FCC has apologised to passengers.
