Head to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios, Orlando, and you can expect to find a lot of things. Wands, wizards and witches, yes. But First Capital Connect?
The company, the main train operator in the St Albans district, has a starring role at the bewitching theme park and its name features on the departures board which greets visitors just before they travel on the Hogwarts Express from ‘London’ to ‘Hogsmeade’.
Designers of the new American attraction, which only opened its doors to the public a few weeks ago, replicated King’s Cross station and took inspiration from St Pancras – a top destination for commuters from St Albans, Radlett and Harpenden.
Chris Penn, a First Capital Connect spokesman, said: “It is great to see Universal Studios copy even the finer details of King’s Cross including featuring First Capital Connect on the departure board together with stations on our network.”
