A KITTEN was stranded up a tree and had to be rescued this week.
Firefighters were called to Ladysmith Road in St Albans on Monday morning by the RSPCA to assist in saving the kitten called Max.
Max had climbed the tall conifer tree over the weekend on what was one of his first trips outside his home. By the time firefighters arrived he had become very distressed because magpies kept landing on the tree.
One of the crew from St Albans climbed a ladder to reach Max and brought him down to safety.
