A CAT which was stranded on the roof of a house was rescued by firefighters yesterday (Tuesday) morning.
The crew from St Albans were called to Newgate Close in Jersey Farm, St Albans, by the RSPCA who were contacted by the ginger cat's concerned owners on Sunday evening.
It was originally thought that the animal, believed to be called Teddy, would climb down from his 40-foot high perch within a day.
But when Tuesday came and Teddy was still stranded, the RSPCA called on the help of firefighters.
One firefighter climbed onto the roof using a ladder but the scared animal took some time to catch and return to safety.
