TWO firefighters were injured after the engine they were travelling in struck a protruding tree branch.
The incident, which involved a crew from Garston, happened on Friday (December 11) just before 10.30am along Ragged Hall Lane in St Albans.
Their colleagues from St Albans fire station assisted at the scene and paramedics were also in called out
Two members of the crew sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital for precautionary checks before being released the same day.
Out duty crews were brought in to Garston to maintain operational cover and the station was running as normal by the afternoon.
An accident investigation is being carried out.
