FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing apparatus are battling a major blaze which at Verulam School in St Albans.
The fire broke out in the first-floor classroom and roof area at the school which has been completely evacuated.
Twelve firefighters from six crews are wearing breathing apparatus to tackle the fire which was logged at 11.29am this morning. The aerial ladder has also been brought in to fight the fire.
