Firefighters were called to a blaze at a Harpenden Cricket Club yesterday afternoon (Tuesday).
It started just before 3.30pm in a bin and spread to part of the pitch, based on Harpenden Common.
The three pumps used a hose reel to extinguish the fire, which was said to be small in size.
