FIREFIGTHERS were called out twice early this morning (Wednesday) as fires wrecked two cars.
The first incident was at 4am on the hard shoulder between Junction 21 and 21A on the M25. Two crews spent 45 minutes putting out a car fire which is believed to have been caused by an electrical short circuit. No one was injured.
The second incident was at 6.45 am when firefighters arrived to find a burnt-out car crashed into a tree on Valley Road, by the back gates of St Albans Girls School. They believe the incident to be malicious. No-one was hurt and minimal traffic disruption was caused.
