FIRECREWS from St Albans were called to tackle a potentially dangerous bonfire yesterday (Thursday) morning.
Firelighters attended an address in Park Street, at 11.15am, following reports of explosions in a garden.
On arrival they discovered aerosol cans on the bonfire. Crews had to work quickly to tackle the fire as the gas in the cans could have caused a huge fireball.
Hose reel jets were used to extinguish the blaze.
