Fire crews from across the district were called into action yesterday afternoon (March 3) following a roof blaze in Harpenden.
Emergency services were called to the detached house on Roundwood Lane shortly after 3pm and were on site containing the fire with two hose reels until around 5pm.
Nobody was in the house at the time, and while it is not yet known what caused the fire, it is being treated as accidental.
