Three fire crews were called to a fire at an Indian restaurant this morning.
Firefighters from St Albans, Garston, and Borehamwood were called at 6.20am to a kitchen fire at Avani restaurant on Watling Street.
Due to the amount of smoke billowing from the building, a specially-equipped van had to pump smoke from the building, and thermal imaging was used to locate the fire.
Two firefighters using hose reels put out the fire, and the incident was closed by 8.15am.
An investigation has begun into the causes of the fire.
