Fire crews have been tackling a vehicle blaze on the M1 near St Albans this afternoon, which resulted in two miles of queueing traffic.
Highways England says the closed lane has now reopened but allow extra time for your journey.
The fire happened on the southbound carriageway between Junction 9 to 8.
