TWO hectares of stubble in a field went up in flames last week.

Firefighters were called to Blunts Lane in Chiswell Green at around 8.15pm on Thursday night (August 20) and they spent just over an hour putting out the flames.

They used beaters and water hoses to put out the fire which started accidentally.
