FIRE-damaged Verulam School in St Albans should be open again on Monday following a major blaze there this week.
However a final announcement on the reopening will be given on the school's website on Sunday afternoon.
Classrooms and the roof were badly damaged in a suspected arson attack. The blaze broke out at around 11.30am on Tuesday and quickly engulfed three classrooms and part of the roof. There had also been another smaller fire on Monday.
One teenage boy has been charged in connection with both incidents while another has been charged in connection with Monday's fire.
The school was closed on Tuesday afternoon and was shut on Thursday and Friday for fire-alarm checks following reports that the system failed to sound during the fire.
A final update on the reopening will be given by 4pm this Sunday via Verulam's website at www.verulamschool.net
