Firefighters from across the district tackled an inferno which burnt out several caravans in Redbourn last night.
Crews from St Albans, Redbourn, Harpenden and Hemel Hempstead spent just under three hours extinguishing the fire at Ver Meadows, which initially spread from one caravan to four others shortly after 5pm.
Police were called to help with people control and the local district emergency planning team attended to assist in sorting out temporary accommodation.
An ambulance was called but there were no injuries following the blaze.
