FIREFIGHTERS are currently tackling a barn fire in Flamstead.

They were called to Grove Farm in Puddephat's Lane at around 7.30am this morning where they found one outbuilding well alight.

Some acetylene cylinders were found nearby and firefighters were withdrawn to a safe distance due to the risk of them exploding.

The three crews, two from Hemel Hempstead and one from Markyate, remain on the scene.
