A small fire broke out in the kitchen of a Bricket Wood care home last night (Thursday, May 28) after a resident set fire to something whilst cooking.
The incident took place at Smug Oak House Care Home in Drop Lane at around 9pm last night.
There was smoke damage to the kitchen but nobody was hurt.
A crew from St Albans fire station attended the scene at around 12pm this afternoon (Friday, May 29) to make sure everything was safe.
