Flood information and a chance to become involved with prevention and self help are on offer at a meeting this Thursday, January 29.

The flood information event is being held for residents of Marshalswick, Sandridge Village and Jersey Farm from 6.30pm at Marshalswick Community Centre on the Ridgeway.

Residents are invited to drop in and find out what help is available in the event of flooding and how communities can help themselves. They will also be invited to contribute to the Community Flood Plan, become flood wardens and co-ordinate self-help groups within their neighbourhood.

Sandridge parish council is hosting the event which is being put on by St Albans district council in conjunction with the county council and the Environment Agency.
