PART of a fence went up in flames behind a medical centre overnight.

Firefighters from St Albans were called to the incident behind the Colney Medical Centre in King's Road, London Colney, at 2.45am this morning (Monday).

The crew quickly put out the blaze and left the scene by 3am, logging the incident as doubtful.

There have been two fires started deliberately in nearby Haseldine Road in the past couple of weeks which police are investigating.
