THE grieving father of a road crash victim has paid tribute to his "angel" who had loved life.

Sabrina Verona, who lived in St Albans, died last Thursday after her black Ford Ka struck the central reservation and overturned on the southbound carriageway of the London Colney bypass.

Sabrina, aged 20, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident which occurred shortly after midday.

Her father Chaim said: "Sabrina loved life and achieved everything she wanted to. She was an angel and we will miss her terribly."

Sabrina grew up with her two brothers in Bushey Heath and went to Hartsbourne Primary School and Watford Grammar School for Girls. After leaving school, she went to work as a hairdresser in Mill Hill and was trained as a professional hair colourist.

She had a boyfriend who is serving in the Army and the couple had planned to get engaged.

Her father described her as, "a lovely girl, bubbly and very caring" who had liked school and was a hard-working pupil.

He added: "She was very creative and in the future wanted to open her own salon. She knew where she was going in life and was a very dedicated person.

"Sabrina also loved to sing and dance and everyone who knew her loved her to bits."

Police are still appealing for any information or witnesses to the accident to come forward and contact Pc Grant Duke on 0845 33 00 222.
