FIRE fighters battled to contain a hay stack fire this weekend in Highfield Lane, St Albans.
Crews attended the scene on Saturday night where straw and hay blazed close to buildings.
Firefighters remained on the scene over night and on Sunday where the scene was closely monitored to ensure the fire didn’t re-ignite and spread.
