A family fun day is being held in London Colney to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) children’s charity, to help young people and their families.

The Golden Lion Pub, High Street, will host the ‘Tyler Reader brighter future fund fun day’ on Sunday March 27, from noon until 7pm.

The event includes human table football, five-a-side, a BBQ, disco and raffle.

The charity fund was set up in memory and celebration of toddler Tyler Reader, who died from sepsis at the age of two in November last year, just several days after complaining of a sore throat.

His father, Stephen Reader, of Harpenden, recently featured in the Herts Advertiser to raise awareness of the potentially life-threatening condition, and he explained the family’s efforts to raise funds for GOSH, to help boost research and treatment.
