A SPOT of instant Fame was enjoyed by around 40 youngsters who took part in an Easter course run by Top Hat Stage and Screen School last week.
Aged from four to 16, they spent the week preparing for the performance of Fame on the final day, Friday.
The intensive five-day course at St Albans Girls School found the youngsters learning their lines and the song-and-dance routines that are an essential part of Fame.
New owner of Top Hat, Warren Bacci, said: "It really was fantastic. It is unbelievable to think they did it in a week. The teachers worked really hard and pushed the children to their limits."
Warren, who was previously the artistic director of Top Hat, which has several schools around Herts, said that not all the children had much experience but they all shared a passion for performing arts.
A similar course will be run in the summer when the students will putting on the show Little Shop of Horrors.
