Harpenden Road, St Albans. Fallen tree.

A FALLEN tree blocked a busy St Albans road for a couple of hours on Tuesday.

The tree, which belonged to a private property, blew over in the wind and onto Harpenden Road near the former fire station.

A member of the public reported the incident just before 1.20pm to Hertfordshire Highways, who reached the scene at 2.20pm and successfully moved the tree out of the road in just over an hour. It is up to the owner of the tree to remove it entirely.
