CHILDREN learnt about birds of prey when a falconry display team flew in to their school.
Among the visitors to London Colney primary school were a harris hawk, an eagle owl, a kestrel and a barn owl.
The Redtail Falconry team taught the pupils all about the birds and gave them the opportunity to sketch them, before the children got to pose for a photograph with the barn owl on their shoulder.
Some of the pupils were lucky enough to wear the falconer's glove and send a bird off for a fly around the school hall before landing back on their arm.
