St Albans has shown strong support to remain in the European Union.
This morning (Friday), the district council’s counting officer declared the voting result of the EU Referendum in the St Albans district.
There were 54,208 votes to remain in the EU and 32,237 votes to leave.
The turnout was 82.5 per cent and the total number of ballot papers was 86,524 with 79 rejected.
