The first stage of the EU referendum count has been completed in St Albans and Hertsmere, following verification of the ballot papers for the historic vote.
There was an 82.5 per cent turnout in St Albans.
In Hertsmere, the turnout was 76.6 per cent - the total number of ballot papers verified was 56,159, while the total number of eligible electors was 73,295.
Counting of the ballot papers in both voting areas is currently underway.
