THE team at the Snow Centre are offering local schoolchildren the chance to take delivery of a truckload of snow at their school playground and enjoy a snowball, snowman and snow-angel event to remember.

The centre in Hemel Hempstead is running a SnowArt competition for youngsters aged four to 14, with the artist of the best picture winning their very own snow to share with their friends in their playground.

But you’ll need to get creative to win the snow!

Managing director of the Snow Centre, Ian Brown, explained: “It can be a painting, drawing or collage – the only stipulation is that the SnowArt should depict something to do with snow. All entrants will be displayed in our Snow Gallery at The Snow Centre. The prize for the winning picture is a private ski or snowboard lesson for the artist and a big pile of snow delivered to their school to share with their friends. We hope the kids will have lots of fun enjoying their very own snow!”

Fresh snow falls several times a week at The Snow Centre on the 160 metre main slope and the UK’s biggest dedicated nursery slopes. “We’re looking forward to sharing our snow!” added Ian.
