Superheroes and cartoon characters invaded a school fair – and brought thousands of pounds in their wake.
The Friends of Skyswood School in Marshalswick organised the annual fair which runs into evening food and entertainment for the whole family.
The theme was cartoons and superheroes which resulted in Superman and Spider-Man mingling with Sponge Bob Square Pants and yellow Minions from Despicable Me.
During the fair the school launched its own book entitlted Monsters and Superheroes featuring poems written by the children and fully illustrated by two Year Six pupils.
After the fair ended at 6pm there was a band, bar and barbecue for the whole family, neighbours and former pupils until 9pm.
The event raised over £5,000 to buy resources for foundation stage classes.
