ST COLUMBA’S College in St Albans has been celebrating its GCSE results this morning with 98.9 per cent of students achieving five or more A*-C grades.

Star pupil Thomas Griffith achieved the best result with eight A* and three A grades, closely followed by Edward Lavelle with seven A* and four A grades.

Daniel Thomas also did well, achieving six A* and three A grades.

Joseph Falvey, Joseph Fraquelli and Jack Gray each gained at least five A* grades.
