Water babies from a St Albans Junior School caused quite a splash when they took part in a swimathon at Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre last Saturday (19).
Three teams of children from Bernards Heath Junior School took part in the swimathon for Sport Relief and with sponsorship money still coming in, they have already raised more than £1,000.
The 13 children who participated were in three teams - the Bernards Heath Sharks, wearing blue swimming caps, the Bernards Heath Dolphins, in pink swimming hats and Team Manson-Sadikot, in black swimming hats.
The Sharks and Dolphins from Year 6 swam a 5km event with each participant tackling 40 lengths. The three members of Team Manson-Sadikot comprising Year 4 children swam 20 lengths.
In addition to the swimathon, Bernards Heath Infants School was also raising money for Sport Relief and the combined figure has already topped £1,600.
