The football and netball teams from a small primary school have both scored the best results since the school opened 55 years ago.
The teams at Skyswood Primary School, in St Albans, enjoyed a double celebration after winning their respective leagues.
The football team held a six-a-side title as well as winning the Inter-League Finals, and represented St Albans in the county finals.
Netball added to their success with an impressive performance the annual school’s rally, winning all of their group matches before narrowly losing out in the finals.
Headteacher Bob Bridle, said: “I am extremely proud of the teams’ achievements but equally proud of the fantastic team spirit and commitment from the children throughout the course of the season.”
