A ST ALBANS primary school celebrated World Book Day by hosting breakfast for parents, teachers and children.
The event at Oakwood Primary School was part of a national programme of family reading breakfasts and organised by the school’s PTA.
Around 150 people attended the breakfast, which was sponsored by Telford Homes and Jolly Bookworms.
Headteacher Zoe Buckley said it was “a delicious way to start World Book Day celebrations”. During the morning, those attending helped create their own version of George’s Marvellous Medicine, made their own Funnybones pictures and shared stories from other cultures.
