Youngsters at a primary school must have passed on some good luck to St Albans City Football Club recently, as the team beat Weymouth just one day after players paid a visit.
Bernards Heath Junior School, Watson Ave, welcomed Saints representatives on Friday (7), who talked to pupils about the importance of healthy living through being active and eating well.
On Saturday the team beat visiting Weymouth 3-0 at Clarence Park, with the Saints leaping to third in the Southern League Premier Division.
The school’s PE coordinator Laura Astley said having officials and players, including Ben Martin, take an assembly was “a great opportunity to make links with the local football club”.
